The story of Exodus of the Jews told in the Bible has become a universal theme and relevant in this precise moment of history.
For "Day of Remembrance", Associazione Culturale Musica Venezia is presenting arias from "Moses in Egypt," an important opera (sacred musical action) by Gioachino Rossini, in which the liberation of the Jews from slavery in Egypt becomes a symbol of the emancipation of all oppressed people everywhere.
